Non-irritating Non-exothermic Non-toxic Biocompatible
SureKlot™ powder is a bioactive hemostatic solution (100% chitosan PBT™ granules). It works on a unique load-based mucoadhesion mechanism that forms a mechanical barrier over the bleeding site or the entire surface of external wounds.
It stops moderate bleeding from cuts, abrasions, lacerations, abrasions, cavitated wounds, capillary bleeding.
Finally, the enhanced cationic charge provided by the PBT™ biopolymer also imparts strong inherent biological properties of chitosan. SureKlot™ powder offers a real antimicrobial and antibacterial barrier (active barrier due to its positive charge). It limits the entry of bacteria and external microbes (muco-adhesion) into the wound site while maintaining a humid environment, favorable to cell proliferation and acceleration of wound healing.
Another advantage of PBT™ is faster hemostasis due to the electrostatic interaction between the positively charged biopolymer and the negatively charged blood cells. Thanks to its positive charge, the PBT™ biopolymer attracts red blood cells (RBCs) and platelets and traps them in the porous structure of the granules, which leads to the activation of platelets and the formation of a powerful blood clot. The combined effect of bioadhesion and a strong blood clot is instant hemostasis.
This method of controlling bleeding is robust enough to work regardless of natural clotting factors. PBT™ is therefore effective even in patients taking anticoagulant medications.

In traumatology, when the bleeding is moderate, apply SureKlotä powder to the entire lesion and the bleeding area and apply uniform pressure using a sterile compress (moderate bleeding 2' to 3').
To control moderate bleeding from a cavity wound, completely fill the cavity with SureKlotä powder and apply even pressure using a sterile pad.
In the treatment of fresh external wounds or as part of surgical debridement. Clean the wound with SureKlot spray and sprinkle the powder over the entire surface (exceeding the edges).
As part of autolytic debridement, clean with sureKlotä spray and sprinkle, completely covering the wound surface. Soak the powder with SureKlot spray to create a gel which will maintain a humid environment and create a real antibacterial and antimicrobial barrier. By protecting this gel with a secondary dressing you can leave it in place (maximum 24 hours) and benefit from all the inherent biological properties of chitosan.
To control superficial bleeding, pour the powder completely covering the wound and applying uniform compression using a sterile compress (2'). To control moderate bleeding from a cavitary wound, completely fill the wound with the powder and apply uniform compression using a sterile pad for 2'.
On superficial wounds, abrasions, cuts, fresh burns: clean the wound with SureKlot spray then completely cover it with the powder, taking care to go beyond the edges. Use a secondary dressing if necessary. You can leave the powder for a maximum of 24 hours to fully benefit from its antimicrobial action and other inherent properties of chitosan.
On wounds which present a risk of infection, make 2 to 3 applications per day. In the presence of biofilm, apply 2 to 3 sprays over the entire wound bed as well as on the edges (exceeding the edges by one centimeter) and leave to act for a minimum of 10 minutes before repeating the operation. The electrostatic activity of the powder gradually disintegrates the structure of the biofilm, making it less adherent and will facilitate its removal.
Use this protocol twice a day for 3 days and gradually reduce the number of applications depending on the progress of the wound and until complete healing. On heavily contaminated and infected wounds, make 2 to 3 applications per day for 5 days and gradually reduce the number of applications depending on the progress of the wound, until complete healing.
